Why we actually read these
The best ideas here were someone's email.
Klaeri is being built by two people who read a lot of labels and got tired of being shouted at by websites. We are not a focus group, and we do not have a research budget. What we have is you, telling us the bit that didn't make sense — which is worth considerably more, and arrives faster.
The unflattering messages are the valuable ones. "I didn't understand this page" is a better gift than "love the design", because only one of them tells us what to do on Monday. If something confused you, assume the page is wrong rather than you — that is genuinely how we treat it.
One day we would like to run this properly — put the best suggestions to a public vote, build the winner, and find a way to make it worth the sender's while. That is an intention, not an offer, and we would rather say so plainly than dangle a prize we haven't built yet. What we can promise today is that a person reads every one, and that good ideas get used and credited.
